Dating vibroplex bugs
Attached is a picture of my Blue Racer Grandpa used in UP stations he worked in about The first one had a square weight and pendulum arm, while the second version, which was somewhat more simplified, used round weights and pendulum arm. I've seen a couple other Vibroplex for sale with similar numbers that are obviously of newer manufacture as well.
The Original entered production around and is still being made today with only minor design changes,most notably the removal of the circuit closer since landline telegraph circuits are no longer in use.
